News Award winners!
The North East Museum Volunteer Awards is an annual celebration and recognition of the volunteers across the region that make such a huge difference to arts and culture events.

Last weekend, during a prestigious award ceremony every single one of our wonderful volunteers recognised for their outstanding contribution to a major cultural event in the region: Great North Run Million Opening Ceremony.

Volunteer, Michelle Gerencser (pictured) attend the ceremony to collect the award on behalf of all our volunteer team, in addition, Alicia Carroll our intern during 2014 picked up an award for her outstanding contribution too. A huge congratulations and a million thank-yous to the entire volunteer team.
