If you're looking for something creative to do in Newcastle with the kids this Saturday morning look no further!

The brilliant Kate Fox is doing FREE informal writing sessions for families around the Newcastle parkrun event on Saturday 4 and 11 of August.

Kate explains, "It's always really brilliant and inspiring to see families running together. What a great way to have fun. I can't in a million years have imagined doing that with mine! Mind, I didn't ever imagine I'd enjoy running. For me, really noticing what I was experiencing so I could write poems made me enjoy it more and I'm going to see if I can get kids and their parents to use some of these techniques too. I'll also crowd source a poem about what it's like for familes to run together to try inspire more to do it."
