The winning entries from the Bupa Great North Run Writing Competition have been announced.

The Marathon by Chloe Bingham (10-13 age group), The Day My Brother Got The Runs by Niamh O'Kane (14-18 age group) and Daffodil Dreams (over 18s) by Heather Harris.

All the winners were presented with their prizes by Sue Barker at a glittering awards ceremony - The Great North Run Hall of Fame charity dinner - in Gateshead last night.
