Richard Lewis

Sports writer Richard Lewis began work with the Walthamstow Guardian in North East London. He progressed to join the Daily Express, where he worked for 11 years as a football reporter and then athletics correspondent, covering the summer Olympics in Atlanta in 1996 and Sydney in 2000, and the winter Games in Nagano, Japan in 1998.
 
He has covered every major indoor and outdoor athletics championship. He is the executive editor of Athletics Weekly and a sports reporter for The Sunday Times. He has written books on sport, receiving a nomination for Sports Book of the Year at the British Book Awards.
