Featuring 100 dancers and some very special guests in an inspirational new performance, Great Sport Dance formed the opening ceremony of the 2008 Bupa Great North Run weekend.
Filling Baltic Square, Great Sport Dance was a mass dance spectacle, building momentum for our world class sporting events.
Designed for people of all abilities to participate in, Great Sport Dance featured moves and steps to keep fit, have fun and improve sports performance – all part of the Great Activity Campaign: Take To The Streets.
Great Sport Dance was choreographed by Neville Campbell and was based on his sell-out show Down To Zero, which premiered at Dance City as part of the 2006 Great North Run Cultural Programme.
Part of NewcastleGateshead’s world-class festival and events programme.
