2012 review: how was it for you?
Photographer: Colin Davison © Great North Run Culture
2012 was a big year for us here at Great North Run Culture. We’re incredibly proud of our programme which included new commissions from Mark Wallinger, Douglas Gordon, Dan Holdsworth, Kate Fox and Reuben Henry & Karin Kihlberg.

We want to say a huge thanks to the 663,000 of you who saw our exhibitions and came to our programme of events, workshops, family activities and artist talks.

It’s only been two weeks since #GNRC12 finished but we just couldn’t wait to get started on #GNRC13.

Our programme is over for another year and we want to take this opportunity to say thanks to everyone who came and to find out what you thought.

I’ve written a new interactive family show based on my experience of being Great North Run Poet in Residence last year. I went along to the parkrun in Newcastle recently to chat to family runners about running and writing.
